DJEvery single task in your wedding preparations is important and your wedding would not be possible, or at least, lovely without wedding gown, wedding cake and lovely venue. However, music makes the world goes round and, well, it makes your guests get on the floor and celebrate your big day! So, choosing your wedding music is an important part of wedding organization. More and more couples opt for a wedding DJ instead of hiring the band for many reasons, but primarily because of the cost. If you are considering hiring a wedding DJ for your big party, prepare for a difficult, yet entertaining task. Wedding industry entertainers are generally outgoing, nice and fun, so at least you will have a nice time looking for the perfect one.

People underestimate the responsibilities of a wedding DJ and they usually overestimate the ease of playing the danceable music that keeps a crowd on the dance floor. Therefore, it is better not to ask your friend or cousin to do this, because you risk to ruin your own important day. If you’re from Boston, hire the professional Boston Wedding DJ. However, having a well DJ equipment does not mean someone is professional who knows what he/she is doing. What about someone who plays music at house parties or in clubs? It is completely different than playing music at wedding receptions. At your wedding, guests will be from ages 5 to 85 on the dance floor and their musical tastes will not be the same compared to the clubs where people go because they have similar musical tastes and around the same age. For this reason, it is also important for a wedding DJ to have a larger selection of songs (more than 10,000 is a necessity). Without enough song titles, it is impossible to satisfy so many people.

But, playing music is not the only responsibility of a wedding DJ. A wedding DJ has to coordinate the event and to make important introductions and announcements. All of that has to be done in a charismatic, classy manner and everybody’s name should be pronounced correctly. A good wedding DJ will make your party the best or the worst. So, make sure you make the right decision!
