Questions to Ask Your Wedding Caterer

Delicious dishes and desserts are inevitable part of the wedding. Before booking your catering for a wedding, there are some questions you should ask your wedding caterer. We were analyzing common problems and issues you could encounter and we will try to help you overcome them and organize the perfect event.

What about last-minute requests? Even though people will RSVP, there is a possibility that someone that did not RSVP shows up and that some guests are MIA. What would your caterer do if something like that happens? Are they prepared to adjust the table setup, food for more or less people etc?

Who will be there on your wedding day and how many servers per table will be present? It is important that you know who would be in charge for your wedding day catering service and probably you would like that the person you have dealt with to be there from the beginning to the end of the event. It is good to find out how many staff members would be included in the cost “per person”. Keep in mind that fewer servers you have, the more slow or erratic the service will be. One or more staff members per table is enough for very elegant service.

What does “per person” price include? Sometimes you need to pay extra for the coat-room attendants, servers, linens etc. It is important to know what is included in “per person” price to be sure you stick to your wedding budget.

Is it possible to tour the kitchen? Even though their website looks nice and facility might look amazing, before booking the catering for a wedding, check out the kitchen because all the cracks in the cleanliness and/or organization of the chosen catering service company will show there.
