Inviting Kids to Your Wedding

So, you have decided to get married? Congratulations! Everybody is excited and anxious, but happy and joyful because of the big day. But, there are some hard things to do before you walk down the aisle. One of the first things that usually causes conflicts and chaos is creating your guest list. Before choosing some nice and quality wedding invitations, you have to decide who you will invite to your wedding party. This is a very tough and complicated task, so arm yourself with patience and wisdom.

If you decide to invite kids to your wedding, there are some things you should keep in mind. On the one hand, there are people who think children add a little bit of magic to the wedding atmosphere, especially if the couple wants to have children as soon as possible. On the hand, messing, ruining, screaming and crying might be a great drawback. It’s up to you to manage your wedding in a way that it is fun to everybody, including children.

If there is a possibility, keep all the guests with children close to each other. Putting all the kids at a table alone may seem to you like a nice idea, but when the group of children is unsupervised, your wedding reception might turn out to be a kindergarten madness. Your wedding gown will not be enough to make your ceremony elegant. Think about the kid’s meal, when and what to offer them. If you provide the kids fun and tasty foods they like and a nice dessert (sundae bar, for example), they would be more happy than if they have to eat caviar. Keep in mind that kids usually eat on a schedule, so they should get their food quickly and early. Keep your youngest guests entertained if you want everybody around you to feel relaxed and happy. Due to the fact that even the most popular entertainment will soon become boring to them, you should offer them a wide variety of fun activities: popular DVD, board games, drawing kits etc.
