lace wedding dressAfter cold and snowy winter and after lovely brides as ice queens, we are waiting for cheerful and beautiful spring brides. Even the girls who haven’t been dreaming about their wedding dresses since their childhood, will certainly make a statement on their wedding day. Well, what is the best way to draw attention on yourself than to pick a wonderful, trendy and stylish wedding gown. What do famous designers offer this spring for brides? What is fashionable at the moment? What can we expect to see if we are invited to more than one wedding this season? Five trends dominate this spring when it comes to bridal dresses: peplums, lace, convertible dresses, colors and portrait backs.

Peplums are trendy this season and usually combined with lace or gemstones. If the brides looks for the elegant look, peplums will do the trick. Bare skin backs were “must have” in last few seasons and now the style is modified and we have portrait backs. Yes, the focus is on the bride’s back, but re-worked lace, tulle or sheer panels make the dress (and the bride) look very tender and romantic. But, her really feminine and tender side the bride can show with a vintage wedding dress with white lace. Even the hottest trends combined with white lace look so soft and romantic and they can take us to the past days when women were women and men were men.

All those brides that are bored of white dresses will have all the freedom to choose any color they like. Vera Wang’s collection has shown that not only all-white wedding dresses can be nice and feminine. Other designers known for their unconventional collections showed some very bold choices in terms of colors, so there will be something for everybody. Yes, brides could always choose what they like, but now they have a strong argument: “it is so trendy!” if anyone complains. Of course, most of collections focus on more traditional colors, so don’t worry, we will probably still have the opportunity to attend “white weddings”. not only those with colored wedding gowns.
